My first stand up comedy gig was at the Harold Park Hotel in 1998. Anh Do and Mick Meredith were other newcomers that night. Since then I’ve done 100s of gigs, supported Arj Barker and Felicity Ward, and performed sold-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Woodford Folk Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival.
I took a long break from comedy when I embarked on a breeding program, then performed in: Lou Pollard is Not Suitable For Children, Parental Guidance (with my 8-year-old daughter) and Matty Grey’s Grossed Out Game Show at the 2013 Sydney Fringe Festival.
I received a four-star review for my second solo show, Looking For Mike Brady at the Enmore Theatre for the 2015 Sydney Comedy Festival. My other solo shows include A Real State Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival 2015, Vote One Lou Pollard Sydney Comedy Festival 2016 – about my House of Representatives run in the 2015 North Sydneby-electionon, and my new show Kids In The Kitchen for the 2017 Sydney Comedy Festival.
